I’ve only sold two and don’t regret either. Remington 1100 with a 28” modified barrel that was useless unless you were shooting something less than 15’ away and I traded a Ruger P95 for a Honda 300.

I’ll sell em’ back to you, the Daisy stamped on both the barrels is starting to rub off pretty bad.

Browning Citori 12 gauge over/under - had no use for it but it was a beautiful gun.

I sold a P95 and regret it. But a Honda 300 beats a p95 as far as having fun riding the Falls or the Sand Dunes.

Smith and Wesson 686 with 6” barrel. 35 years ago.
2nd son needed a deer rifle and times were tougher than now. So I sold the S&W to buy a Win Model 100 in 243. He killed one deer with it decided hunting was not for him. I sold the Win and gave him the money. Wish I had both but , I loved that pistol!

Curious, why is it taboo to sell a gun ?

I mean, sure they will be a good bartering chip when it goes down hill. One guy might have some medicine your wife needs, but he needs a gun. Green cash will be no good.

I couldn’t hit shite with that P95 and the Honda 300 just needed some rings. Felt like I came out good on that trade.

Never sold a gun but wouldn't be above trading..

Ex. I have a Kahr CM9 that I replaced with another carry I'd trade for a 43x and cash if needed.

I wouldnt sell a gun straight out but swapping doesn't bother me.

My first shotgun from my dad when I was 8 was a 20 ga pump with adjustable choke. Store brand so nothing special. Sold it in college to buy a nice compound bow.

25 years later I would probably give 1/2 of my gun collection away to get that gun back. One of my big regrets. I would love to have that gun so my son could use it and I could pass it on.

iggest mistake not only in my gun decisions but in life. I would give up all of my 200 plus guns to get it back. I am 56 yrs old and to date it was the worst thing I think I have done. Young people....especially me... are stupid.

Have you ever tried to track it down?

Yes, It ended up in a Pawn shop in New Albany Indiana in 1990. the shop is out of business. That is the last known registration of it. They bought it from an individual. Made it from Montgomery to Indiana since 1984 to then. No telling where it is. I search Gunbroker and other sites from time to time and it has never surfaced.

I would think the shop would have had to keep records of gun sales. Did you try to contact the owner of the shop?

Crazy to think the 300 was probably made around the same time as the P95. I loved how it felt and was designed but yeah it wasn't accurate.

When I was a dumb broke college kid I pawned my 11-87 special purpose for $100 so I could go see Widespread Panic. Missed the deadline to get it back. Oh well
