Desert Eagle Stainless 45. Was a huge heavy pistol. Didn't shoot it much but wish I would have kept it. My rule now is I don't sell guns.

I regret many... But my #1 regret would have to be a Heckler & Koch G3 .308 with every possible accessory known to man for it. Even had the .22 conversion kit that had a replacement bolt, barrel sleeve insert and 2 magazines. Also had several large mags, a couple short mags, fore-stock with built in bipod and standard fore-stock, retractable rear stock and standard fixed stock, and the H&K quick release scope mount.
Sold it to a gun shop owner from Cut Off who came to my house after my Dad died in 1991 when I was only 15. My Mom didn't feel comfortable having nearly 100 guns in the house after he died and went to Steve Geraci at Chalmette Jewelry (before they got busted) to inquire about selling off some of his guns. My Dad bought, sold and bartered guns with Steve and Steve alone. He was the only person he trusted. Steve called a few of his dealer friends and this guy from Cut Off came and bought 70+ guns. My Mom gave me final say on what guns to sell and another friend of my Dad's was there with a gun value book and helped ensure the buyer wasn't low balling me. At first I kept saying no when he kept asking to buy it. I finally relented at $2000 and regret it every time I think about that gun.

Never a regret.
Enhancing the collection by improving quality is more impressive than just having a bunch of guns.

1981 Remington 870 wing master 16gauge that my parents gave me for Christmas that year...sold it 10 yrs later
Haven't found another with all the engravings that one had
Sold it to my brother who later sold it.
I should have stipulated that I got first right of refusal if he ever sold it.
1st Christmas after both my parents passed in Dec '03/ and Jan '04 ...he bought me one very similar.

Only sold one & don't regret it. Beretta 90-Two in 40 cal. Cousin to the 92fs. Nice pistol but screw 40. Put money towards an awesome side gate 35 Remington Henry Big Boy which is a blast to shoot as it blasts my shoulder.

Ruger Blackhawk .41 magnum.
Traded it and a gold necklace for a brand new Ruger 1911. Young, dumb, and dying for my first 1911 cost me a really nice and rare gun.
