I've used all 5 arrows in my quiver in one afternoon, but never on just one deer.

A buck, a doe, 2 pigs, and a coyote. That's one thing I love about bow hunting, you can shoot something and have other animals show up 5 minutes later. The buck was actually trailing the doe. I had just watched her go down in a field and when I turned back around the buck was standing, nose to the ground right where I shot her. My two arrows were laying less than 3 feet apart.

I know, CSB

I'd rather be with, as opposed to being without.

4 in the gun and 4 in my backpack. I would rather have them in my backpack and not have to walk back to camp if i forget to four for the gun. Plus shite happens.

I have never gotten off more than one shot at the same deer so 3 is good enough IMO. Mag holds 4 plus one in the gun but I never put more than 3 in the mag. I carry a pistol in case i wound something. I had to finish a 9pt with my .45acp

Coyotes, Hogs, bobcats, you never know what you might need to take out. If you dont have any of the mentioned critters then just taking 3 bullets should be fine. I have all of the above. The first time you need a bullet and are out, you will start taking more to the stand.

Where can I get one of these.

Sorry for the late reply.

All the normal places have similar items... Sportsman's Guide, Cheaper than Dirt, Cabelas, Uncle Mike's etc.

Gander Mountain, Dick's, Academy, or even Wal-Mart might have one. You can find them in Cordura/Velcro, but I really like the leather with a snap.

Just search online for "Cartridge Wallet".

I used to carry a 4 arrow quiver on my bow. Then one hunt I shot 3 pigs and missed a doe by 4:30pm, and had to climb down to get the arrow so I could keep hunting. So now I have a 6 arrow quiver. Be prepared, the Boy Scouts say.

It always stuck from my days in the boy scouts. Always Be Prepared!

FTW

I have one for each caliber I use.

ETA: sorry Mung, I didn't see your post with boy scout reference
