Stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.

Obviously an auto correct problem with my phone.

At least it hasn't changed sandwich into cock yet. That would just be embarrassing. "I wanna eat my .... first"

I would buy from them again under the condition that, for the amount of time they raised prices, they lowered prices on those same products by double the percentage they were raised. Plus free overnight shipping.

So tell me any place that did not go up on prices when demand was high. Are you only shopping at those places?

I'm not going to speak for others but my personal beef with CTD is not that they raised prices, but the degree to which they raised prices.

Example - a factory Colt AR magazine was listed for $89 or $99. I believe Cold Pizza posted that item.

Not only price gouging, but running for the hills and saying we aren't selling guns anymore.

Yet they currently sell guns?

Wasn't the purpose of the halt in sales to revamp a couple company policies?

I'm not saying I reside with them or anything, the last thing I purchased from them was 500 .223 and 200 .45 rounds about 6 months ago. Just playing DA more or less I suppose.

Had to change the prices on the website and wait for the demand to ramp up some more.

In the middle of all this, I bought 10 Pmags from DSG arms for $10/each. I also placed an order for a 33-round Glock mag from Midway for $34.99, the same price they've always sold it for. As far as I can tell, most retailers have not been raising prices for things they have in stock.

A lot of the smalller companies didn't raise prices. They ran out of supply just as fast

Y'all can be mad but I'd be doing the same thing. If I was to be an onion farmer and all my competitors had shitty seasons, you better believe I would gouge my prices. Supply and demand. Besides, I've seen several OB'ers discussing buying mags and selling them themselves. All it takes is a few competitors to sell at cheaper prices for CTD to go back to normal. Just be patient. Obama isn't getting rid of shite. No one in congress wants to touch the second amendment except extreme leftists. There's too many constituents to lose.

Im not sure how you can fault the company for raising prices when demand is high.

As a consumer though, its our job to help regulate the market by choosing with our wallets.

So, I do not blame the company for raising prices, but I also do not blame those who chose not to spend their money with them. It's how a free market works (what we have left anyways).

I highly doubt that there company has that significant of decrease in sales. They MIGHT get burned short term with all the butt hurt going around, but give it a couple months and I can guarantee you that the people bad mouthing them will be ordering again.

What I'm most upset about is none of you asking "why an ONION farmer"?

I like to try and buy from local places so my tax dollars at least stay in the area. At least it makes me feel better to think that anyway.

I completely understand supply and demand, and that CTD has a right to sell stuff at whatever prices they want. However, if I call it a dick move, and decide to never shop there again, I don't hate capitalism. The free market will dictate whether or not taking advantage of their customers was a wise move.

In your example, what happens next season when your competitors supply catches up with you? Was one really profitable season worth pissing off your customers so much that no one buys from you anymore when other options become available?

Magpul released a statement about dealers price gouging their products, and said that they didn't agree with the dealers' practices, but that they would continue to sell to them at regular dealer prices and let the free market take care of itself. I agree with this stance, and I will simply choose to spend my hard earned money with a business that has not tried to screw me over in the past.
