Because with the exception of N&F, we are southern gentleman. Granted we may may have our issues with the bottle, extramarital affairs and strippers, being prejudice against uncollared dogs and what not All and all we are just some good ole boys looking to catch a buzz, shoot the shite and some animals, with a Judge and maybe play with something wet and warm every now and then.

Any public message board is going to have some IM'ing and some juvenile bullshite IMO.
The longer the board stays around, the more "regulars" it'll have and the more "inside" and "BC" jokes. It makes it better for those regulars, but makes it worse for the newcomers.
I'm all for trying to clean it up, trying to keep the bs'ing and IM'ing in the IM threads (WPT and DELETE threads and other obvious IM/BS threads), and cutting out all the put downs and all that shite.
The longer the board stays around, the more "regulars" it'll have and the more "inside" and "BC" jokes. It makes it better for those regulars, but makes it worse for the newcomers.

That was a pretty solid post. Even though I think put downs and what not are all in good fun, most of the time

I've never gotten the impression that anyone has made comments with genuine malice since I've lurked/posted. Although, I'm sure it has happened. Just not with the frequency it happens on other boards.

That's the exact same observation I had a month or so ago when I first visited here. In fact, I'd even go further by saying it stands head and shoulders above most sites on the internet...period.
Can actually have some fun sharing, mixed in with a bit of good natured BS-ing, and yet nobody gets offended.

With stronger moderators, the rant would have more people on it. I know people who don't post on the rant because its an insane asylum run by the inmates.
