Unfortunately, the closest I got to fishing this weekend was watching MLF on TV.

I heard some lackluster reports out of SWLA both salt and freshwater, and it sounds like Point Aux Chene gave No8Easy2 the on Saturday.

What's the OB have to report? Where is everyone going this weekend?

I spent a ton of money at Academy since Thursday on fishing and other stuff. Proceeded to get skunked yesterday in 20mph winds.

Money well spent.

I would save a ton of money if Mirrolure had a rewards system.

I was on call this past weekend, but made a trip to the pond. They are starting to spawn. Full of eggs and protruding vent. She spit out a few eggs, so I hurried and got her back in the water after a quick pic (taken by my 5 yo son).

She was very healthy looking. Go make some babies!

ETA: As far as this coming weekend goes.

Got my boat out of the barn last night and started charging batteries. Hope to sneak out somewhere close this week or weekend just to make sure everything is working.

They're biting...

Heading to Caddo this weekend for a bachelor party and hoping to do some bass and slab fishing. Anyone got any pointers? I've been in Oklahoma for the past several years and am somewhat out of touch with fish movement back in NWLA...

Caught a big bull red on topwater this weekend that had just eaten a 10" trout. Sadly, that was the only trout I caught on topwater. Heading into the Biloxi Marsh this weekend.

Were you getting many blow-ups and they were missing? or just lack of action on the top-water?

If its the first then you may want to try that same area with a suspending bait. If its the second then water temp may be a factor.

I was just drifting a flat on the way to my spot thinking some probably had moved out of the river with the warmer weather. The area was just dead - no real movement or bait. I ended up catching a dozen keepers jigging a bridge.

Caught 18 keeper trout and 30-40 throwbacks in Hopedale Friday in 25mph winds. We’ve been killing them for a month and a half and this trip was just to see if they were still there more or less.

I told ya baw. I am heading there this weekend to see how it goes. Trying to decide between the boat or the yak.

I got pulled into doing some yardwork at my grandma's house on Sunday afternoon. Sounds like I didn't miss much.
