We struggled to find the reds and specks, but bass were numerous. (2 trips)

Watched the kids all weekend while the wife went out of town. I think I may up to Toledo Bend on Thursday.

Shot my first deer this weekend. Wonky looking 6pt, but I was pumped about it. He weighed about 130 or so. Killed him with a heart shot at about 70 yards with a 308 shooting 150 grain Winchester deer season.

Not familiar with rifle hunting, but I was wondering if there is a better option of bullet in 308? Bullet went straight through his heart and into his opposite shoulder, but there was no exit and very little blood on the ground. Did alot of damage on that back shoulder and he Only made it about 50'.
