You mind telling me whereabouts in the MRGO you fished? I went out for the first time in two years and took my son to the Unknown Pass and Miller bayou area but all we got into were undersized trout.

Just picked a couple random spots along the long rocks heading into the Gulf. Was more productive closer in than I was further out.

ETA: Anywhere along those Western rocks work. Boats just line up. Ride until you find an opening and then pull in.

are you trying to make the MRGO look like the trestles?

Just helping someone out. The MRGO is by no means a secret. The rocks were lined with boats this weekend. Also saw a pontoon boat at Hopedale Marina. So maybe it already is the trestles.

I waited long enough for a couple of less desirables to load their boats on Friday. The nightmare of the weekend crowd isn't appealing

Pelican point will be turn into that if they get word...I use that launch all the time and the guys are nice and always go out their way to help you. Hopefully the googans never venture over there.

Jealous all you fricks fishing. Had work Friday and plans for weekend..

Thought about going to trestles but figured it was packed tight. Took small boat out to Blind River to try some bream fishing. Ran into a goggle eye spawn and had 52 keepers with a few sacalait mixed in. Prolly threw back double what we kept. Great morning fishing. Sorry no pics, Dad got fish cleaning crazy.

No fishing results because the ocean was blown out. But I did take the GF and kids camping. This little one got interested in the outdoors - specifically the almighty banana slug.

Don't worry, I've been out to the rocks many times in the past. Just wanted to know if it was a more proximal spot to bayou bienvenue. Didn't want to drive down to Hopedale given that I hadn't run the boat in sometime. And I'm not one of those inconsiderate dufuses. I don't fish on top of anyone and I'm in and out of the launch in a few minutes. I'm always cognizant of being in the way.

Went to Cheramie/Verret area.

Caught 1 freaking fish.

Worst day we have ever had, and the conditions were perfect. Clean water, little wind, right before a front etc etc

They certainly do but I was amazed at the people passing us saying they only had 1-2 fish or they just were not biting.... Finally had to help a dad and his kids so they could at least catch something. Everyone throwing at the edge of lilys or not wanting to get in close and work in between trees and laydowns.
