Wall mounted fishing rod storage, might have found the GOAT
Posted by Randall Savauge on 1/27/23 at 9:17 am

Stumbled across this on social media and ordered two and installed last night, they hold rods in place and it really cleaned up my mess of rods in those round holders (snoopy rods to offshore rods and everything in between).
Ordered two more right after. I get nothing out of this other than sharing yall...

Bought three of them and they are great
Only complaint is the spring is very tight end it takes two hands to put the rod in there or pull
It out
And the screw holes would
Be better suited if they were lined up
With studs.

i found that at least one screw into a stud (near the middle) seems to be sufficient and i installed one with the plastic drywall anchor on each end just to balance it out. I did have to drill one hole to be sure to hit a stud.

Thanks. I I'll have to order some. I'm not worried about 16" stud placement because I'm going to put them on a 2x10 that I have mounted in my shop.

Those do look good. Ive had something similar idea for the last couple of years and its been fantastic. Simple and effective.

Fat fingered the downvote. Sorry. You cost me some money.

I bought a set like these to hang from my garage ceiling and love it. Keeps them out of the way from all the typical things that could break them.

I have a different set but I too prefer my rods to be on the ceiling. No one else can damage my rods this way or something accidentally falling.

Great find. I was about to use unistrut and 1” pipe hangers from the ceiling but may try these out.

This is what I did. I put them between my garage door rails and it rolls up right under them

I made my own; 2" X 2" X 8' (I think it's 8') and larger plastic coated hooks and attached it to the ceiling in my garage....this is the GOAT.

This is one I built a few years ago, holds 28. Bought the little rubber c clips on ebay and they work great.
