I can see a good sized snapper crossing the yard across the river. Looks like ~5lbs, he is getting ready to fall in the water...

Maybe you're tired of answering my questions but can the eggs that you posted be incubated and hatched?

Talking off the cuff, you should be able to dig a hole a bury them until they hatch.

I don't know. As you've probably seen, in the same turtle you'll find eggs fully ready to lay, then more that aren't quite developed. I think these were ready to be laid, but the fact I kept her on ice for 2 days prior to cleaning makes me think they would have been tough to successfully hatch. I'd have to research temperatures and such, but I assume there is a reason they were all inside of her rather than in a nest in the ground. I've never thought to try to hatch them. My kids always try to talk me into it (they do the same with fish eggs) but I always tell them to run along and get ready for the richest brownies they've ever had.

That was my first thought.

But on second thought, I'm wondering if they've had enough time to develop in the womb for this to be a viable idea.

Very logical opinion that parallels my second thoughts.

Even if so, how long until they are viable meat producers?

Years. Five to ten, probably.

I'm not sure about common snappers, but alligator snapping turtles grow to about 30 lbs in the first 8 yrs, then their growth slows down and varies depending on environmental factors. I think we can assume common snappers could follow this trend.

Both of those questions have been answered in this thread.

Links included.

Geauxtiga posted a photo journal of how to clean and in one of the links that are posted, there are recipe ideas.

I'd post it all again but it's too much info. to repost.
