In honor of turkey season, please share some of your favorite recipes for cooking wild turkey.
(Yes, I checked the cookbook, but I thought a consolidated Turkey thread would be good)
I'll hang up and listen. TIA

Cut into thin strips and fry just like you would chicken with the only difference being that you add 2 or 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar to your flour.

I usually cut the breasts into strips, soak in milk and hot sauce, then bread and fry.
I grill the legs.

Could you fry the whole damn thing in a turkey fryer like it's thanksgiving?

I guess you could, but I'm too lazy to skin/pluck the whole bird.
And the legs are tough. You need to cook them longer than the breast.

This.
I also sprinkle Tonys on the strips, grill, and then put them in a pot with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Don't overcook on the grill.

I like to grill the breasts as a change in pace.
Take the following:
a good bit ofFresh basil
2 tbsp Lemon juice
2 tsp Fresh pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup basalmic vinegar
1/2 cup worstichire
6 cloves
3 cloves minced garlic
and likely something else I am missing...
Take garlic, basil and pepper and rub on turkey breast either whole breast or I actually prefer strips but have done both. Then mix remaining ingredients up as a marinade. Marinade 6-24 hours and grill until medium rare-medium and eat.
Very healthy and VERY good, also works very well on wild hog. A nice break from drowning them in grease, however that's awesome too.

I've had this before and it came out very good.

I have also fried a whole turkey, it's good injected, fried. From what I remember it cooked differently than a butterball as far as time but came out good.
