Is renting a motor home out of the question?

If you were more experienced with towing, it is a nonissue. The truck will tow it just fine. Even though loaded weight on that camper is 10k or more.

Towed an "ultralight" that was damned near exactly the same weight (within 100lbs) up to Tennessee with fords little 2.7.

It will only get interesting for you if the wind is bad or you make it sway through constant corrections.

The power is there, brakes are there, you've got the weight, my concern is more for you than the truck. 10k is a lot for the average guy who hasn't towed a lot before.

Assuming that is a bumper pull, you will likely be way over your cargo limit with your family and tongue weight of that camper.

Wanted to add, my SUV is rated for 5000lbs. The exact same driveline in the frontier is rated for 7500lbs. I have upgraded Old Man Emu suspension that is all heavy weight spec. And airbags. And 10ply tires.

I've towed a buddy's searay 280 on a few occasions. That's 8500ish lbs of boat. Closer to 11k with trailer and loaded if I was guessing.

Is it doable? Yes. Is it sketchy as hell on anything but LA1 cruising at 50? Definitely.

I would never tow it in less than ideal conditions.

...and that's still likely lighter and shorter than what you would be towing.

As a young dumbass I often towed a 28ft pontoon boat with a CJ-5, does not mean it was a good idea or that I would recommend it, it is all good until...

In life I have often found can to be the enemy of should

You pulled a 10k load to Tennessee with a F150 and a four banger?

37ft bumper pull is too much to be renting out to normal people IMHO

You have the power but none of the other parts. A half ton is much too light and doesnt have nearly the stopping power necessary to safely pull that big arse sail. That's too much wind drag and too much weight (and especially tongue weight) to be pulling.

Now dont get me wrong, back in the day I've pulled 20k 10' wide with an early 90s half ton Chevy when I thought I had to. Made it just fine. Would never nearly suggest doing it though. It was stupid and I got lucky nobody pulled out in front of me.

Tennessee, North Carolina, all over the South really.

The only thing you really have to do when towing with the 2 7 is run premium.

The sketchiest thing is going over the Atchafalaya Basin, The Bouncing is what will get you.

When did the F150 ever have a four banger

Man, a 37 foot camper is one hell of a rig...I can't say I would be comfortable pulling that. Have you considered renting a motor home?

It's honestly no biggie.

I haul a 36'. Biggest issue is thinking ahead about stops because not all places of business are made for 60'+ of equipment rolling through.

Eta...my comment is hauling in general. I wouldn't do it with a Tundra.

To much weight and since the Tundra has a weak rear end you will be driving uphill for sure!

That's a whole lot of keeping high RPMs on the motor going uphill and wearing out the brakes on the downhil.

If you're towing the trailer I think you are (Dutchman Aerolite), then It's a hard no go.

The hitch weight of that trailer is about 1,200 lbs. This exceeds the maximum tongue weight for the Tundra (between 980 and 1,050 lbs depending on the model of your turndra).
