Had one growing up from the war.. Made by underwood typewriter co.

Killed plenty of stuff w it and it was a blast to shoot

Got couple of deer with it.....

Funny thing when you shot stuff more than 100 yards away you could hear it hit

I want one for the history of having one. Even if it's a reproduction. I really dont have any use for a .30cal bullet, but it looks fun to shoot.

Really an odd critter. Not quite a pistol round yet looks like one. Almost as worthless as the .17 HMR.

I had one growing up. I shot 1 doe with it when I was 12. Rounds are expensive and it looks like a glorified .38 Special. It is fun to shoot, but it has seen its day as far as I'm concerned.

I think if someone likes that kind of design they are better served with a Mini-14. The rifle and rounds available beat the 30 Carbine on every level.

Agree with that. Would love one of those if I shot at all.

It shoots a 110gr. .308 bullet at 1900ft/sec

That's a bit lighter than a .357, but over twice the speed of a .38sp

I guess I misunderstood what you meant by "not quite". My mistake.

Thats actually probably a little bit slower than a .357 mag would sling a 125gr bullet out of a full length barrel.

Some were made for the military with Full Auto capability. Bet that would be fun to shoot.

They are an excellent home defense carbine. With proper loads, they are a good bit more powerful than a pistol, yet not so powerful that they are going to go through five walls and kill the neighbor in his bed across the street.
