No. I have some super Ninja skills that have enabled me to fire two hundred thousand rounds through Glocks without holding them.

You're really angry about Glock and the Coast Guard.

Are you the blogger?

There's more to it than a line down the center. Have you ever held a Glock? Are all of us just making this up?

I've never understood the grip angle issues with any of their weapons not the 10mm.

They are all point and shoot. If anything, I have more issues with my kimber.

Then your observation skills are lacking. Self-awareness as well

You're being far too rational.

i looked and tried many glocks, hated the fit, feel, and size of the grips something fierce

ended up buying the full size m&p 9mm because it fit my hand perfect and aiming was instinctively spot on target in line with my body movement unlike with the glocks

i dont see or get why glocks are praised so highly but it must be solely financial bought and paid for favorable endorsements because they arent that good

Moral of the story is that you shouldn't listen to this guy. Shoot several guns, and buy the proven reliable one that YOU shoot the best

I think what is most off-putting is the arrogance and condenscending tone that comes across.

My first purchased handgun was a Norinco T-54, a Tokarev with a 9mm barrel.
Clearly falls into the "junk" category in a lot of people's opinion. Chinese crap, Commie design, grip angle of a T square. But mine shoots in the red easily at the range, no failures after addressing the cheap tacked-on safety, has run well for me over 2 decades. It brought me a lot of joy, and an appreciation of guns that aren't the latest 'cool toy' available. I shoot my CZ, Sig and Beretta more, but not more accurately.

I ran into a range genius a few years ago, he decided that he wanted to come over and tell me how to shoot. He had some STI race gun, stainless with red metalflake trim and grips. After awhile, I had to tell him I was shooting an older CZ 75, I'm lefthanded, I CAN'T ride the safety with my thumb (because there isn't one on that side). And my groups were as tight as his, and he was intruding on my personal time with my son trying to just relax, could he please ease off and go back to his own bay.

Sometimes people mean well, but they need to chill and let people do their own thing. Part of the fun of owning guns is to learn which ones fit you, and why one truly is better for YOU, not for anyone else.

Personally, I don't care about the Glock's grip angle. The plastic frame doesn't appeal to me, and there are lots of options around in steel and aluminum. I've concluded most guns will outshoot the shooter, (myself in this case), and the gun itself isn't the issue. I simply don't shoot thousands of rounds a month for a living, I have other priorities... if I did, I feel completely comfortable that what I have would do just as well as most competition shooters.

1+

I don't have much use, and certainly no rspect, for those who make their argument by insulting the other party instead of stating facts. This guy falls into that category. He may have all kinds of credentials, but I'm sure there are other writers that are just as qualified yet can make their case w/ respect and facts. This guy does neither. And yes, just for the record, I watch VERY little of ESPN's non-game content because it's mainly "experts" and commentators sitting around yelling instults across the table at the other panelists. There, I feel better now so will step down off the soap box.

I mean, let's be honest about this here.

He's a competitive shooter... he puts others down for their choices and opinions. His supposed basis is that he shoots more accurately then we do.

I could take a HiPoint, shoot 500 rds a day, and become extremely proficient with it. HiPoint is "junk"... sure, we all think so. But it has a lifetime guarantee, so anything on it breaks (which I understand they don't actually do often), I get it fixed and my gun is up and running again. Give me a few years shooting that daily as though it's my job, and I bet you I can outshoot 99% of all gun owners.

I can then go on record belittling anyone who spends money on any other gun, using my own success as credentials and proof. This wouldn't make me right.

This. Nothing against Glocks, they just don't fit me.

They are highly praised for their reliability and simplicity.
