List doesn’t make sense to me. Lake Claiborne is an awful fishing lake. You won’t catch anything, owners of docks will harass/shoot at you. The hydrilla is out of control and there are hidden stumps that will total your boat. Just avoid that lake all together and share what I told you to anyone else that fishes.

Anacoco Lake the same. Its water is the color of a Yoohoo drink. Don't know why, but it is and has been for a long time. Used to catch catfish, bream, white perch and bass regularly. Can't now and it's fed by several creeks that are clear. Anacoco creek also feeds Vernon Lake and it's clear as Toledo Bend. Look at google map and see the difference in the two. Been several ideas going around how this happened. It's a shallow lake with lots of brush and cypress in the north end, and open from the middle to the levee to the south end. Vernon Lake is down and no way to launch until it comes back up. I believe they close the gates Dec. 31.

Grew up fishing D'arbonne, my dad had a camp on it all my life, love that place.
It can be tough at times and on fire others.
Bill Dance once fished a tournament there and after stated, "they ought to drain this place and plant it in corn".

But according to the Marine Biologist/ Wildlife Biologist or whatever he was that I talked to this pass summer the lake is loaded with fish. So much so that they skipped dumping 40K bass fingerlings this year. They usually make that dump annually. Said there was "more than enough forage to support the bass population". And that, " there are many 7 to 8 lb bass in there"
The problem, he said, was the amount of pressure that the lake receives.
I believe it .
Every weekend in February, March, April, and May there is a tournament there. With some getting 70+ boats. So .......
