The test they did is flawed because the coolers could have been at different temperatures before they put ice in them. Also putting 50 lbs of ice in each leaves different amounts of air volume, which melts ice a lot faster. All should have been pre-cooled. Too many unknowns for a solid test.

So the cheaper ice chest, which was larger and had more air volume, held ice longer or as long as the big money chests...

That means cheaper & bigger is better?

I will never understand why people that can't afford nice things try to downplay it in order to make themselves feel better or justify their cheap shite.

People purchase yeti because it will last, first and foremost. They hold ice just as well as the best and will last a lifetime doing it.

500 dollars to one man may seem like a lot, but to some it isnt shite.

Quit worrying how people spend their money and be happy with your 40 dollar Coleman.

My Coleman is probably 10 years old

From the test, a $50 ice chest held ice longer boss. Whole point was to keep people from saying a Yeti holds ice soooo much longer than a Coleman Xtreme, which it does not and they do often

A yeti owner didnt start this stupid thread. A jealous kid did. He obviously is mad he doesn't have one and is trying to justify it.

Have fun with your lives worrying about how other people spend their money.

Easy bro. It's an ice chest. I can afford to buy Yetis, but I don't, which is why I can afford to buy Yetis

True, I own a few Yeti ice chest but have never bought one. If they were not given to me as gifts I would not own one. But now that I have owned a few for a few years, I have grown to love them. If I ever need to replace one, I will buy a high end cooler...

You Yeti owners sure do get upset when someone has the nerve to question your brand of ice chest.

Do you own any thing that is a name brand item in life?

Like ray Ban glasses or costas? Do you have nike shoes?

Any of these items are easily replaced with cheaper "just as good" items that "will do the same job"

The op has to be around 20-25 and have no real clue about shite.

Of course there's things that work as good as nice shite. But it aint nice shite. Get it?

I'm sorry dude, I just don't see an ice chest as a prestige/status purchase.

I starts off as teasing about an expensive ice chest that doesn't hold ice any better than a regular ice chest, then diehards like you come in and fervently defend it. Then the thread has legs and it turns into a shitshow. No one really gives a frick about what ice chest you own. Relax.
