For the money, best rimfires on the planet

For some time I wanted a CZ 22 LR. I had my model picked out when they came out w/ the "Americanized" 457. Unfortunately, by the time it came to the market, the model I wanted was not being produced. Fortunately, I found a Tikka that had all the features I wanted and bought it. CZ's are obviously a fine gun, but I have a hard time believing a CZ could be more accurate than my Tikka. If anyone else can't find the features they want in a CZ, I can encourage them to look at Tikka.

I also have a Tikka T1x in 22LR. It's a fine shooter, just not the beautiful walnut.

I own the CZ 82. Different kick to it, for sure.

I was very close to getting a Shadow 2 a few months back. It's a very sweet pistol. In the end I went with the P320 X5 Legion instead only because the slide was milled for a red dot. Still want to get a Shadow 2 one day.

Dan Wesson dwx looks like a fun gun with the CZ ergos and the 1911 slide.

I saw that on brianenos. Looks to fill a niche in the limited division between the CZs and the 2011. All steel grip, straight pull back trigger, and cheap mags should make it very popular. I can't wait to see one in person.

I got the gun from cz law enforcement sales as a demo gun. So it was $415 but after shipping, taxes and ffl transfer it came out to almost $500. Cgw pro package installed by cgw was around $450 or $500 after shipping the firearm and taxes. It was worth every penny for them to do it. It's a completely different gun now.

Just posting to say how much I love the TLR-1. Mine has been going strong for years and stands up to any abuse or weather.

Only CZ I own is a 452 American .17HMR but I love it. A guy I met did a 5min trigger job on it and it has almost no creep and breaks at 1.8-1.9lbs now. Plan to add more to the collection eventually.

Those steel frames do seem like they would make a great shooting gun. Not sure how good it would do carrying it everyday.

Lucky, how did you find one? I gave up looking. It has become like a unicorn unless you want to pay insane amounts. I have to bite the bullet on a 16ga 1100 before I get my 453

That's true. OTOH, I wanted a synthetic, not pretty wood, stock when I bought the Tikka. When I'm ready for some pretty wood, I'll be looking at CZ.

I have a CZ 550 in .30-06. The 550 has a Mauser controlled round feed action. Mine has a 24" barrel, wood stock, blue steel, adjustable set trigger, and it weighs a pound more than most rifles. It is an easy shooting 06 that looks utterly classic. I keep trying to justify buying a Weatherby, but I'm sort of set for life with my current platform.

I know CGW does good work, but if you're on a budget, you can do a very good trigger job yourself. I removed the hammer block safety and replaced the sear with a Pre-B one. You will have to fit it to where the safety works properly. Also got a short reset drop in disconnector from CZ custom. It still had to be fit, so it's as short of a reset as you're going to get. Polished everything with India stones and it's day and night from the factory setup. Single action is 3.5 pounds with absolutely no creep, and double action is around 8 or 9 pounds. I could get that down with lighter springs, but I rather have the reliability of factory weight springs and have a little heavier DA pull.

ETA: I liked the way it came out so much, I ordered a SP01 and did the same modifications.
