OK builders, I got a woodie for y'all.

Just getting back from Lafayette. Want a circle I went thru. I have enough for 10 boats. Bought a extra set of wood just in case.

KR, thanks for looking out for me. Was getting on the interstate and pulled over to adjust a strap and KR pasted me trying to stop. A truck like to ran in the back of him. Anyway, he called BP who then called me to see if I needed any help. All was good. Nice to know someone would of stop to help.

The OB rules.

Got off the I10, stopped and got me a 25 oz'er. Was having a bit of heart fluttering going on. Got it under control now.

I thought we had 11 or twelve being built?

I guess you finally got a tally of definite orders then?

Would speed things up some, but you have to be very careful not taking to much wood off.

Now for bad news. Bad weather for the 10 &11. I been keeping a eye out for that and they keep changing it. Just hope they are wrong.

OK builders, I'm kicking a idea around due to the weather and to save time that we will need.

We will be needing a tent. So, I will hit Harbor Freight and buy a couple cheap tarps. I then can make up some post. I do have some of the lumber for that now but will have to buy a little more.

The other idea is to start cutting up everything before hand(plywood and 1x4's). I will leave one set of the plywood not done that way I can show everybody how I do it. Only problem with that would be how each person wants to build to the size they want. Now if I go all in, the pirogues would be around 13'6" + or - a inch or two finish with 9" to 10" sides. This size will fit two people easy with gear or work out great with just one person.

So, please all builders call me on my cell phone ASAP.

One other thing. If any of y'all would like to come tomorrow to help cutting everything up, call me. I could use the help, getting a bit slow now from burning the candle from both ends the last couple days.

Next weeks infusion I will try to put it off till Thursday if I can for that extra boost for the weekend. I don't know if that will fly though.

I wonder what the cost would be to rent one of those event tent for the weekend...

between the rest of us attending the cost should be minimal...then maybe we could all just build from scratch...just thinking out loud

anyone with a line on a rental place that would would drop it off on friday and pick it up on Sunday would be a plus...

Fish,

I know we talked on the phone but just so it's written down, I'd like the longest and deepest we can make it.

Unfortunately I can't come tomorrow to help. If it weren't the day before my surgery, I'd be there though.

Pepperidge's idea is a good one but if we can't get it, I have a cover for a 20' "tarp carport/boat cover" that I never used(threw the poles away a couple years ago but kept the cover). I'll bring that.

Similar to this:

We might need a new thread asking for help from the entire OB. Someone has something or can make a call to get us something at a fair price...
