BP, want to confirm you got me down for glue?
DaHammer - I am very interested in the wood purchase, put me down for that as well.

I do not as of yet have the details but my lumber guy at a minimum can get fir plywood 1/4" 4x8, he is working on ordering 14' sheets. He will know later today. As soon as I know pricing I will post it up, however if those interested in my picking it up and bringing to the build please contact me drjeff at lafamilyeyecare dot com. I will post details when I have them.
Hilarious, you're my wife's eye doc I think

will the glue be dry enough to paint them the same day or next day?
We are going to be pushing to get these boats built. Guess it would be best just to take them home and paint them. That way one can pass a lite sand on them and finish up as needed.
We can adjust cure time somewhat, but a full cure takes a day or two.

Noted. Will not purchase paint then.

My Cascophen order shipped today...waiting on tracking for my nails
I too will wait to paint when I get home...
Fish:
1.Would Gel Coating the pirogue be overkill?
...A friend of mine has been building a ton of crawfish boil sized pirogues and I might could get him to spray it while he's working...
2.What would be the preparation process to do this to wood?
or is that a bad idea?

Is anyone ordering nails or are we picking those up on our own?

Sweet, BP can you add me to the nail order...

So far for glue and nails I have:
eng08
wickowick
choupiquesushi
DaHammer
gorillacoco.
I wish I had a few more on the glue. 4 people only cover 1 of the 4 gallons. However, I think I will go ahead and get it and will just keep the rest for other projects.
FWIW the cost for nails and glue together per pirogue on this order is $43.

This. Gelcoat will not stick to wood for long.

Sorry for the lack of response guys, been a hell of a busy day.
I still don't have final numbers on the plywood, hoping to get them by tomorrow. As soon as I have them I will post up. So far I have the following wanting wood:
BP
Wick
Pepperidge
Tigerpaw 123
eng 08
gorillacoco
choupique
As soon as I have the details on the wood I will get more info up here. Tomorrow will likely be busier than today, so if I don't make it on here early I'll get here at some point....
