Buy that....
If you've got $2000 to spend you might as well go for something pedal driven. $2000 can go a ways on the used market. You can get a Compass or regular drive Outbacks in the $1500-$1700 range and find some 180 drive options for $2000 or less. The occasional Pro Angler pops up for $2000 or less as well.

I can't speak to their more standard SOTs or pedal drive, but the half dozen or so Native Ultimates I have been in and around are workhorses and have taken a serious beating with no ill affects.

Mung and I went to West Cove Saturday. Tide didn't start falling until late. He limited on reds. I caught one large red and 3 flounder. Threw back one flounder and several small trout. All but one fish in the marsh.

You threw back a flounder?
That’s one I never throw back unless too small. Love those.

I’ve gone before without an icechest and doing C snd R and caught a flounder. Kept him and put him in a bag of ice from the store.

I fish WC sometimes, but never catch Trout in the marsh. I always have to go into the Cove. How far back did you go?

Fished the LKFC tournament in Leeville yesterday. I had never fished there before, but did get a limit of Reds with no keeper Trout or a single Flounder. Also caught the 2nd biggest Red and won a little cash. All in all not bad. They also drew for a Captain Spivey Charter trip and they pulled a name and the guy had just left. So they re-drew. Lol

You can have it. The captain is a douche bag. I would have given it away. Now I would have been pissed if I had missed out on a Duce rod

Wasn't me that won. The guy who did won a Duce at the last tournament.

What kind of cable/chain do most of y’all use to lock up your kayak when traveling? I know nothing is theft proof if someone has 48” cable cutters or a hacksaw, but I want to make it hard as hell to steal my new Hobie Compass.
I was thinking of a 5/16” PVC coated chain with a lock through the Mirage Drive hole. Any other ideas?

It was tiny.
We went to that canal with the dock then way up in the marsh from there.

I know exactly where you went. I tried that once, but it was too shallow.

Always seems to be the same 3 people
Me and a bud hit PAC for the 1st time since the storm, the launch is done but the bait shop and cleaning stations are still being worked on, Eddie said another month and everything will be done
Trout are there but small, about 5:1 keepers
Should be a good winter, found some reds along grass lines and in shallow ponds

canal with the dock
sounds like "old camp" canal if so thats some damn good fishing at the very end of it and in the marsh to the right back towards the launch
Also have a buddy selling his 2014 PA14 for $2200 with some extras
Anybody interested can reach out for contact info

Slayer Propel MAX 12.5 just announced, but the sneak preview video isn't worth watching. Native said more to be posted tomorrow. Other new products to be announced as well. 12.5 is about perfect for me. I'll probably buy unless super heavy. Especially if the drive is the same because I would then have a backup drive from my Manta Ray.

Probably be around 85-90 lbs based on rumors I’ve heard. As soon as Native lets me, I’m sending my money!
