That's ridiculous. I would never pay that.

$4649 for the PA12 and $4799 for the PA14

Let's look at "tournament rigging" a new PA14...
*I realize alot of these team guys get deep discounts, but there will definitely be some of these rigs out there built on no team discount*
$4799------PA14
$599-------Power Pole
$195-------PP Battery Pack
$749-------Lowrance Elite 7 Ti2
$500-------misc accessories, rod holders, crate, storage bins, etc...
$6842.00 x 9% tax = $7457.78

Hobie posted it in the comments. If you really want to see people freak out they initially posted the prices as a typo of $6649 and $6799 then corrected it.

Why not the Outback though?

I have never really looked seriously at a Gheenoe. They are bad arse. Any idea on ballpark retail of something like these? Their website looks like it was designed for someone using Windows 98

Those are Super 16s which I think is there biggest/highest priced model. The Classic or LT25 is probably the best deals though. Depending on rigging they can get pretty high, but modestly rigged LT25s on the used markets I've seen anywhere from ~$5000 on up to $10,000+
I'd basically want something like this, except delete the storage box in the center and put an ice chest for fish storage. Throw on a trolling motor, a Power Pole micro, and you've got a decent little rig that can fish one or two people and get in practically the same waters as a kayak.
This one probably crosses into my "nah, I'll buy something bigger than a Gheenoe" threshold but I always thought this was a super nice rig.
Video review of it, shows $15k as rigged.

That things sweet. They’re fairly stable to walk around?

Gheenoe's are badass and yes, they are stable. I looked seriously at them a few years ago, but not many options nearby. You can find some sweet rigs on MicroSkiff.

Still never been in one, watch the video I linked. Couple full grown men look to be comfortable, walking around the console while one guy is fishing the front deck and it looks fairly stable.
They're cool as shite little rigs, I've wanted one for years.

On another note has anyone seen the limited edition Bonafides they have been releasing? The B-25 concept looks pretty damn cool.
Posted on 7/9/19 at 9:13 am to Drunken Crawfish
I think they're cool....but I'm not paying $1700 plus tax to paddle anymore.

Definitely agree. But apparently people are paying $4,800 for pedals now
Posted on 7/9/19 at 9:25 am to Drunken Crawfish
If they can put a pedal drive on that thing and come in under $3k, they would definitely have my attention.

Like all the Bonafide special editions except that black widow one. That’s ugly as hell. A black kayak in MS/LA hot sun.... Meh I’ll pass. It looks like somebody bought a spool of spiderwire, worst line on the market, and designed a kayak like the box.

I really like the fusion. Looks like my lizard lick colored Slayer. So, maybe that’s why I like it.

Who the hell would want a black kayak?
