Would love to go as well. Is it open to the public or is it just for dealers?

Unless they figured out instant reverse, it won't matter.

Yep if they figured that out is a big improvement. If not it still sucks

According to Facebook rumors it is a new Mirage drive with some sort of steering mechanism. Strange.

Maybe steering with just your feet and hand me free. That would be the only way it would be an upgrade. They really need to address the reverse

Hobie 360 Drive, available on the PAs only for now.

LINK

ETA: looks like it’s controlled via a knob on the rudder control.

Hmmm, interesting. Why not the Outback though? Definitely like the new color on the PA.

Probably because the new Outback already turns much better than PA’s

$4649 for the PA12 and $4799 for the PA14. I have a "no thanks, I'll just put that money towards a Gheenoe" threshold and $4800 plus tax/accessories is WAYYY over that threshold.

This is getting absurd.

I'm hoping for a retro fit kit but even that is going to cost $1200 I imagine.

I really want to see a walk-though of this. It just seems like a ton of moving parts. I am glad they went with the popup fins. I have been seeing a lot of bent masts across the interwebs.

Hobie definitely has the largest market share in the game, but at what point do you price yourself out of the market?

So in the same month that Old Town upgrades the Predator PDL AND lowers the price, Hobie comes out with a $4800 kayak PA and justifies it by saying it turns better? Give me a break.
