You have to order I assume? I bought a used Power Pole from the owner of Ship to Shore. He had the Topwater Paddle only in stock.

Wondering if you guys can help me out a bit here. I'm thinking of throwing a trolling motor on the back of a 16-foot canoe to get around a little easier when I'm with my 4-year-old.
I also am thinking of getting the ascend 128t and using the trolling motor on it as well. I've watched several videos with this setup. I'd take the ascend when it was just me and the canoe when I'm with my 4-year-old. He's not a great paddler yet.
What's the deal with registering a motorized boat over 12 feet?
From LDWF:
You must register all motorized vessels/watercraft, including sailboats 12 feet or longer, used in Louisiana waters with LDWF.
You must title a boat or outboard motor (25 HP and above) that is financed or currently titled in another state when you’re registering it in Louisiana, a homemade boat, or a boat that has an incorrect hull identification number.
Has anybody done this? Seems like a pain to get a canoe that's been in the family for years registered.

You have to have a certificate of origin and some sort of receipt or proof of purchase (to show that you paid the taxes). I wanted to make a removable trolling motor mount for my yak, but I lost all of my paperwork in a flood and decided it would be too much trouble.

Anyone taking their yaks out tomorrow for a fishing trip?
Me and 2 buddies will be hitting the West Cove area tomorrow morning.

I'm headed that way either Friday or Saturday. Got the family thing tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of yaks are they going to be in?

I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger on a new boat right now. Nothing seems to be The One, for me.

They put a peddle drive on that Bonafide and I’d have a hard time keeping myself from buying it.

That's why I've never bought new. Both of mine have been used. There is no perfect yak. From what I've been hearing, Old Town has the best drive, Jackson has the best idea, and IMO Hobie has the best layout.

On paper it was a great idea, execution, not so much.

I’ll be there around 5:30, thinking off hitting the cove to hunt some trout bite then heading into the marsh for door mats
And I like the setup of the PDL, that’s a good looking rig

I got a buddy taking mine down with them. Feel free to take it for a spin.

The idea behind that drive is genius. They just haven't built it right yet.

I think we will be there around 6:00. I'm going to the cove first as well because I'm dying to find the trout bite. I'm sending one guy off into the cut through the marsh to find reds. He may find a few flounder while he's at it.
