If you’re willing to spend that much you’d be better off finding a used 12’-14’ better brand kayak. Jackson Cuda or Coosa, Native Slayer, etc. all would be MUCH better than that.

I don't agree at all. It's a Wilderness. Those are fine boats. Much rather hat than a Jackson.

Ok I think wilderness is a decent kayak, but to put it on the level of a Jackson kayaks is laughable.

Like many have said, look on the used market. I bought my 2015 Outback for $2000 cash. It was less than a year old and it came with the sailing rudder, Hobie Stake Out Pole, Hobie Inflatable Vest, Hobie Wheel Cart, anchor and anchor trolley, and a Native Dry Bag. And the guy delivered it to my house. Look on Facebook, Craigslist, and all of the area Kayak club websites.

Didn't realize they were made by WS, even still, it would be best to stay away from a 10' paddle kayak.

That's what made me not do it. Then I found Bluemoon's used package.

I think the $400 pescador's that you can get at academy are just older model tarpons. I bought a couple just to throw around on the little rivers here in the hill country. Can't get much better for the price.

Was my first yak. Loved it. It just wasn’t ideal for long days.

I'd still be in one like that if it weren't for butt bone pain. I had to shop for a seat with a kayak attached.

This popped up on the ol’ Craigslist.

What do y’all think? Is this a reputable brand? Thanks again. LINK

I believe Teague has one like that. He seems to like it. Maybe he’ll chime in.

No idea who makes the Field and Stream stuff. I personally don't like it. So much wasted space up front.

The Shadowcaster is made by the same group that makes the FeelFree kayaks - Joy Sports.

Not sure on the Talon and their other models.

2nd trip to tackle store this week for the GI trip. I think I now have enough freshwater stuff to tempt the trouts and reds.

We will leave ellic around 8-8:30 tomorrow morning.

Still trying to decide on boat. Love the peddles, but HATE the no front storage on the Manta Ray. Love the fishablility and storage of the Slayer, but not sure I want a paddle in the winds we are expecting. Hmmm.
