there actually was a Comander in Lafayette a couple months back for $350, I almost bought it just to have. Needless to say it didn’t last very long. Start at $700 and be prepared to take around $500 I’d say.

Usually use the boat ramp, there's not usually a ton of boat traffic down there this time of year. Or if the water is high enough you can park off to the side and slide right down the bulkhead into the water. Having one of the camps for Friday night helps, you can launch your crap the night before and just pull it up on the dock under the camp that way you don't have to fight for launch space in the morning.
