Deer hunt slow this am as well.
Bright sun/moon last night Prob had something to do with it.

I’m a little further north of you and I saw good numbers in regards to deer.

As far as ducks are concerned, nothing and we have some holes that haven’t been hunted since opening of first split. Woodies but that’s it. From my stand a couple weekends ago I saw a good number of widgeon.

Duck hunting has just continued to get worse. We did well last year but unfortunately I’m afraid last year will be an outlier instead of the norm.

Saw some mallards yesterday in Madison. Not sure how many total, as we eased out of there.
Slow deer morning for me as well.

I thought you would’ve done well this morning. I didn’t draw blood today but saw numbers and younger bucks chasing.

Are you just not seeing deer at all?

Everyone needs to keep in mind one of the reasons the deer movement is abnormal is because these are the busiest hunting weeks of the year. A lot of folks in the woods and things just may be stirred up. It’ll settle down and get better.

This is a solid fact. We had people on our neighboring lands that have hunted 2-5 times this year that rode their mules and wheelers allll around their land dropping people off.
Had a little movement Sat. Evening but low numbers and spooky deer.
Let’s see how Sun. morning goes.
Good luck baws, aim small miss small

Nothing over here either. The lake I hunt normally holds woodies, not the case this year.

I hunt in northeast part of catahoula (parish, not lake), and it’s very few ducks.

Went Saturday morning, and stayed till 11am in my hole that’s loaded with flooded soybeans. Killed two woodies and saw a pair of mallards around 8:30. No flight birds, no geese. Absolutely horrible considering it will be January in a few more days.

I find that duck hunting in CENLA isn't worth the trouble anymore.

I’ve ridden by every duck spot I know of between Krotz Springs and Chopin. Haven’t seen 30 ducks. Crazy thing is the tons of acorns in the woods and only a handful of woodies. Not a lot of geese along 49 either.
