part of this settlement is that Rare Breed has to police any patent violations during the lifespan of the patent. 
we won't see one from CMC, RISE, Timney, etc. for a long time... unless they come up with their own design that is drastically different from Rare Breed's.

Installed it on a 16” .556 and put in a new Rise Armament 140 trigger at the same time. Both worked flawlessly on the first try. It’s overgassed though so I ordered an AGB and a heavier buffer to slow it down. It was ejecting at 1-2pm.

Yeah Danny is being a real dick now on r/PSA. All I did was ask him if it had the proper profile barrel (SOCOM). "Well ackshully it's not select fire either hurr durr." Then he sent me one of those stupid Reddit Cares messages.

According to the video, the 14.5 option will have the SOCOM profile barrel with the M203 slots under the handguard. I think the 16” will be a standard government/M4 profile.
Technically speaking, the only “non-clone” piece will be the handguard while also missing the ambi safety selector. Some would argue brand names, too, but I can how that wouldn’t matter to some folks.
