Looking at getting something different in 556 and was looking at both of these. No real purpose for either other than a toy that's different.

Opinions on what you'd get and why....tia

SCAR, Tavor trigger is poop.

If I were to add to the 5.56 stable I'd go this route...

Of course not FA...but SBR'ed all day.

Neither. Tavor feels like it was built by blind people and the SCAR is overpriced.

all bullpup triggers are dogshit. the design doesn't allow for a quality trigger

I love the Tavor. It is an awesome novelty gun. Fun to shoot and pretty accurate. The trigger is junk, but everything else is pretty solid. I will say an AR SBR is lighter and better balanced in my opinion.

The reason I went with a Tavor over the SCAR is because it was "more" different. The scar is essentially just another long rifle where the Tavor is a bullpup.

I don't shoot it enough to justify spending another $400.00 on it.

Incorrect. The aftermarket addresses the shortcomings of most bullpup triggers. However, they are expensive.

The new CZ 805 Bren is 5.56.

ETA: not sure if civilian version is out yet. There is a pistol type model but that's different.
