What do you know about the Kawasaki Mule? Is it any good?
I bought my first side by side back in February and it’s the mule pro fxt 1000. I’ve been pleased with it so far, but I also didn’t buy it to use for trail/mud rides. I don’t consider it as “sporty” as the can-ams and rangers. I’ve only got 300 or so miles on it right now and if I’ve got anything I would change about it it would be the location of the air intake and the tire size. Air intake is in an area where it’s exposed to a lot of dust and the stock tires are only 26s.
I bought it after reading a lot of threads across many different forums (this one included) and the pro fxt 1,000 overall seemed highly regarded.

way less problems than you’d think considering the abuse it takes.
Anyone who talks bad about the mules is just biased
There's a reason Kawasaki gives a three year warranty, they know it isn't breaking.ironically the same reason Yamaha only gives six months, if it didn't break in the first six months, it wasn't a warranty issue anyways
I say again, any of the 1000cc units will serve you well, you're really just deciding what goofy shite you're willing to put up with.

Team Honda here. Love my 1000-5. Zero issues. It rides hot, yes, but that surely helps during hunting season. And I can load it up with hundreds of pounds of corn and go anywhere. And when I do take it to Grand Isle in the summer, we are going too fast to notice the heat.

Was using a 2021 pioneer 1000-5 and it’s a solid machine but it is jerky, seating isn’t great and the maintenance is a pain with how they designed it. Also the heat off the engine is miserable in the summer.
That being said i just purchased a Polaris 1000 crew northstar and it’s light years better than the Honda. Smoother, better seating and the maintenance is way easier. Granted it’s a cab and hvac model but it’s way better than the Honda.
The can am is a crap shoot, they are nice but they also break more than the Polaris

Just go look at all of them. Their sold on the idea of fun and utility. Some are easy to get in and out of some are not. Some you can pile a good amount of gear in and some you can't.
Truth is the framework on the majority of them are lighter than bed frame material. I run a Polaris XP1000 I've had two. Never had a belt issue, I run in low most of the time and don't sit still in 4' of water.
Providing you're like me you will rarely drive it because modifying is an addiction. The amount of money, I'll never see again would be hilarious if it weren't so damn pathetic but I'm committed by God. Wrong decisions Rob.

Did someone on here need some mirrors for the Northstar doors?
I just found a box in the bottom of my gun cabinet.

I've owned Polaris General and then a Can Am Commander. I was looking for fun riding and the ability to hunt at well.
In all honesty, I would pick the Polaris General over the Can Am Commander.
I know a guy who works on sidexsides and he indorses Kawasaki's.
My $.02

Why? Just curious as I bought a Commander this week and when weighing the two I picked the Commander because it has more power and came with a winch and roof installed from the factory. I also read the Generals are a bit known for issues after 200 hours.
