Q erector for just a 22 suppressor

I have it and the El Camino. I have been really disappointed in the erector. The modularity is pointless if you always feel like you need the full length setup. El Camino is perfect though.

Agree with you there. I have a pistol can that's can be either a K length or an S length. I don't carry the thing around and only shoot it at the range when I'm having fun. Why would I ever put it on in the short configuration?

I guess it's a neato marketing bullet point, but in practicality, I can't think of a situation where I'd think to myself "That wasn't quite loud enough. Let me take a third of the baffle stack off".

Just in case someone wants a to look at another 22 can.

The Bowers ICON is only available through their website-

https://bowersgroup.com/product/icon/

Lighter version of their already awesome USS 22 can.

And of course the bitty-

What is the general consensus on Solvent Traps?

Ehh, they technically work, I guess, but if you're going to have to pay 200 bucks to register it one way or the other, I'd buy a commercial can and wait to get something that really works well. In my opinion, under the current laws the sole check mark in the pro column for Form 1 cans is that you can get an e-filed Form 1 back in under a month. Even then, the hassle and scrutiny the ATF is heaping on "solvent traps" makes those things just not worth it. I'd consider a Form 1 homemade can if I had a good design and a mill and lathe to build it with, but not a solvent trap can.

They'd be AWESOME if you were legally allowed to tinker with a can once you built one on a Form 1. Then you could swap baffles out, play with baffle angles, clipping, etc. to get the baffle stack working perfectly and tuned to its host. However, in this free country, das ist verboten. Once you build it, you are not allowed to even look at it very intensely for fear you may disrupt a molecule and then a new Form 1 is required.

God help you if you have a vaguely cone shaped piece of metal in addition to your can.

It's fricking absurd. I have a can on the way that can use a wipe on the end cap. It's literally just a circular piece of high temperature rubber. I am not legally allowed to have an extra circular piece of rubber that isn't in the can. I can have a sheet of the rubber, a punch, and a hammer. I can't use those three things together if there is already a circular piece of rubber in the can. If I take the one in the can out of the can, cut it in half, then I can use the three tools together, BUT JUST ONCE. If I do it twice, then I have spare suppressor parts and that's a felony.

Use Silencer Shop Kiosk.

I used it for the first time last month. Remarkably easy and customer service was top notch fixing an issue linking to sets of scans to the same trust.

I have one in NFA jail since early December. I'm hoping to have it by the summer.

I had heard that one of the solvent can manufacturers had been raided by the feds but I don't know if that is accurate or not.

But if so, tells me everything I need to know about them.

bought my 6th a few weeks ago.

Bought my first 2 in 2011. A sparrow and AAC 762 SD. I thought at the time that would be all I need. I have 11 now. There are almost like guns. You can’t ever have enough.

Let S be the number of suppressors. Let H be the number of hosts. Buy suppressors until S>=H

when you die, somebody will possess an NFA item that isn't registered to them until the ATF decides to process that Form 5 to transfer after death. It's unlikely (but getting less and less improbable every day right now) that they'll get in a bind with a federal gun charge

They fixed that issue. It is now legal for the family and or the family attorney to possess the items while the paperwork is being processed and the estate completing probate.

I have 4 so far and already want more. Like people have said they are addicting. I had a Texas gun trust lawyer who was pretty popular write up a trust (he's now passed) and used silencer shop kiosk to do all fingerprints and paperwork.

For my rimfire can I went with the dead air mask. Couldn't be more pleased with it. Also own a deadair sandman s, silencer co omega 300 for hunting, and an octane 45k for the pistols. Covers all my bases but... not enough.
