Strange Situation this past week

I understand that shooting turkeys out of season is illegal but is it unethical. I have seen so many damn turkeys over the past few weeks while deer hunting and have really been struggling not to take a gobbler. Breeding doesnt occur for another few months so I dont know from an ethical prospect what I would being doing wrong. Would appreciate thoughts.

Funny you bring it up, I watched two fly down this morning and glassed them for prolly 15mins and got to thinking how easy it would be to shoot them. I also thought of a scale of ranking the most repulsive acts

It was legal in MS in the 80s to shoot them with a rifle. 17 year old me was hell on em on the tall pine tree ridge. Whacked several.

While predation and lack of habitat get most of the blame for low turkey numbers, the fact of the matter is lots of them die at the hands of deer hunters each season.

Talked to a Game warden at Thanksgiving, and he was telling me about arresting an guy that killed a Turkey, he said for Thanksgiving dinner, which we have no fall season… Guy said he thought it is what he was supposed to do for Thanksgiving…. But, he was arrested for the same offense, 10 years prior, so, he knew better…..

You are a grade A moron. The two have nothing to do with each other. I’m seeing a bunch of Turkey while I’m hunting, I still have to put out decoys, bait it in, and make a shot. Catching fish on livescope is like playing a video game where people literally set the hook based off of what they see on the screen. Make sure if you shoot a turkey out of season you post a picture of you with the turkey on FaceBook, Instagram, Outdoor board, and any other social media you have.
Also caption the pic what day you shot it......
