my camp is about 2 hours from BR...So ill leave on a friday and comeback on a sunday. All my camp consists of is a shack, a lake, and a several hundred acres. No running water so we stock up on the gallons at a time. I mostly go to get out of the city and for the peace and quiet
we recently invested in a window unit so times are looking up

I would say it depends on the hunting. A 4 wheeler ride in to a duck blind -that is dry- where a couple of guys bring their girlfriends out for the hunt and the weekend can be a bunch of fun. It isn't hard hunting and everyone can BS and hang out.
A West Texas open country glass and stalk where you may be out in the field all day or longer can be miserable for a girl. Also, hunting in early pre-freeze woods where ticks and bugs are everywhere can be a deterant. The same goes for hunting up in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan- brutal cold with tears wanting to freeze to your face.

Even though my wife doesn't hunt she likes the camp. Its kinda rough but we have just enough to be comfortable and clean and we can let the kids roam to within shouting distance and not worry about anything but mosqitos. I wear a shirt and tie to work everyday so when I go to the camp I don't shower or shave unless I'm growing fungis. Its the one place I can go and not give a shite about much.

I make some attempt at hygiene every day, no matter where I am. And I always shave if possible. I've grown beards before, but now I can't stand anything on my face.

The only reason I shower every day at the hunting camp is to try to scent-free myself as much as possible for the next hunt. Sometimes I shower midday between hunts if I sweated a lot walking around during/after the morning hunt. But if it's late in the season and I have a few kills under me already, I'll just go out however and not give a shite.

My GF's dad goes to a hunting camp almost every weekend during hunting season and takes days off when he can....he pretty much doesn't give a frick and does what he wants though....I think I may start calling him honey badger.

During the season Im at my camp every weekend, with the occasional football game thrown in. I also take off a lot of fridays and head up there thursday after work. Anytime I'm off for a holiday, I'm there. I also spend 9-10 day straight at the camp during the peak rut.
Its not hard for me to be there that long since our camp has everything we need. its an old house trailer with heat/air, hot water, comfy beds, cable tv, etc.
Also, Shower every night. 1) to be clean and 2) so the deer dont smell my nasty arse. I usually skip on the shaving for a while but once my face mask starts pulling on my beard, its got to go. Every time I move a little I hear the hair and think its something moving in the woods.
