These people must either be young, bachelors or terrible heads of household

Not really due to the fact that myself I had always took the kids with me once they were old enough. In turn, they learn how to live off the land and how to protect themselfs along with getting outside not playing video games all day. They also learn to respect wildlife. In fact, one of my kids is a Vet. She learn how to clean wild game at a very young age and she is an outstanding surgen now.

I take my wife deer hunting a couple of times a year in mississippi(she killed her first doe this year)she had not been back in the stand since the birth of our first child (07). We also took my boys 4 and 5 on there first deer hunts. I usaully take a week off around the rut and make a few trips when i can (work shift work). I dont have a good enough camp (has running water but is run down) to let them stay overnight but i am getting a travel trailer this year so we can stay for the weekend. I grew up on Blind River hunting deer, ducks, squirrels and fishing. it is just relaxing to get away from the city.

To me going to "the camp" means quite a bit. I could be working on something, hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, straight drinking, entertaining clients, entertaining family, chasing woman, alone time with the girlfriend, or just a nice quiet weekend with the wife and kids.

That pretty much sums it up. The term "going to the camp" wears many hats.

Is a must.

So when you people go to camp you stay there for weeks on end?

On a typical year I will stay for at least a week on several occasions.

No kids, my bosses hunt more than I do so as long as someone is at the office everything is fine. We pretty much just rotate trips. For instance they are in Africa right now till the 19th. So in turn during this winter if I really wanted to I could go on a 12 day hunt, its a you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours kind of deal.

Guys on the OT are talking about keeping a beard during hunting season because it's too hard to shave at "the camp". So when you people go to camp you stay there for weeks on end? Don't you have jobs and kids and responsibilities?

I keep a beard pretty much year round.
I stay for weeks usually 4-5 weeks out the year. The week after thanksgiving and the week after Christmas is always at the camp.
I have a great job that I happen to get 45 vacation days a year. I don't have kids and my wife comes with my sometimes.

So I assume Lacour is not a fan of the Robertsons. Let me get this straight, if i grow a beard and for hunting season that automatically makes me a bad head of house hold, yes that makes sense.
