No wake means no wake
Slow down for smaller boats
Don't check another man's crab traps
Double check your boat plugs

Absolutely no factual data to back this up. Urban legend.

If leaves on trees are belly up, it's likely to rain soon.

If you can't put your hand in your fire's coal bed when you leave for 30 seconds, then you haven't put it out well enough.

(i'm sure i could add more, but that's what i got for now. i'm at work.)

If it is saltwater fishing and it says 10 to 15 Knot wind, add the two to get what it will be.

Always bring a roll of emergency toilet paper in the woods.

This has been pretty clutch for me on multiple trips. Never know when the stomach will start brewing a category 5...

always bring more than one compass... and, as I was so eloquently reminded of by mother nature Thursday night, remember to check your heading on the way in!!!

ETA: hunted new spot. forgot heading. got turned around at night in same woods where we'd just seen a cougar. got out alive.

This ^^^
-Keep a snake bite kit in all backpack and vehicles.

-That green fungus and moss grows more dense on the north side of the trees.

If the redbud trees are blooming, the crappie are bunched up.

Don't think about marring a gal until you've seen her split and stack firewood.

Don't step out the front of your boat onto the trailer tongue with fish slime on your shoes.

Either plane out or slow down to little to no wake when passing a fishing boat.

There was an epic thread on this a while back. Came with some classic MS Paint figures.

All in all, there is a theory that slowing down before you meet the other on coming boat will actually make it worse
