Rat Snake or some call them Chiken snakes, killed on the other day heading for my wood duck boxes . Harmless but will bite and are tough to kill unless shot.

Never post a video of that sort ever again. Thanks

I hate a cottonmouth with a passion. I hope whoever it was videoing that, dispatched his arse right after it was through eating the rattler.

Looks like a dead water snake.

Yep.

Also people should post a pic of the tail on the belly behind the anus.

If it's a single row of scales behind there heading out to the tip, it's a pit viper. If it's double, it's a non poisonous snake. Well other than a coral snake but you might have a clue with that one.

Resident snake freak (husband) just got home...his vote is for a dirty juvenile cottonmouth, but not like the vividly-colored one shown earlier, maybe a different phase. Definitely thinks its an agkistrodon, thought it could possibly be a dirty copperhead, but thinks most likely a cottonmouth because of the dark left cheek common for them.

Alx & Teague will be here shortly to argue with me.

Never mind, just saw Alx's post 2 spots up!
