The Judge is the most miserable gun there is to shoot.. There's nothing fun or comfortable about firing that thing.

Not looking to kill innocent snakes, just the venomous bad guys. We have lots of children who come to fish here and we want the kids safe.

We had a water moccasin in the yard last year and she recorded him while fussing at him that he needed to leave here immediately. The snake left.

Well, you're not going to kill them all. Others will move into vacated habitat. So, the kids will always need to be careful. So, in the end, you're wasting your time. Teach the kids and wife not to mess with venomous snakes by trying to kill them and not put their hands and feet where they can't see and you've cut their chances of ever being bitten to almost zero percent. Shooting the snakes you see doesn't do anything except make you feel better.

Coming from somebody who’s guns are too embarrassing to take a picture of. And somebody who can’t understand “gun people” who would nice guns and post pictures of them. GFY.

I think a $120 NE Firearms.410 is beautiful. It's like a beautiful piece of Americana like folk art, that also kills copperheads.

I do understand Gun folks...I am among that number....that's why I find some actions of some gun folks funny. Still melting??? WOW...that is some kind of put upon you got working there. The cloak of victimhood is comforting, no?

I can admire a pretty shotgun without feeling the need to pose it for a portrait....I am just weird that way! I ain't above fondling one when chance allows...I have even coveted pretty shotguns in my life.....but I never was compelled to pose one and record the image for prosperity.....and I think its funny that people are thusly compelled....

Go 1st Class. Get the S&W Governor. Mine is very well made, reliable, and a blast to shoot. Teach her a good, strong two-handed grip for it or any other handgun you may purchase.

2.5 inch .410 #6 shells for the snakes you have to take out.

For self defense, one could pick among the Federal .410 000 buckshot load, 45 ACP or 45 Long Colt.

Only one answer judge to the face! It’s really a nice option wheel gun shotgun shell whatever she feels comfortable with is the answer. 410 revolver would be ideal

Not that the 410 is the wrong choice, but I'd personally opt for the 20 gauge crack barrel over the 410 for a novice shooter. Light load in the 20 won't kill her shoulder and the 20 will offer more pellets and increase the margin of error with a poorly placed shot.

If she is used to shooting and feels comfortable with her aim, then a 410 would be fine. If she's a novice, she may get frustrated while learning shot placement with the 410.

Last year i took out two copperheads in my pump shed with a 44 magnum revolver using birdshot shells, with a mild load of unique. Worked well.

I don’t go looking for them. They all play a part in the lifecycle. If i am in their bedroom, i am the intruder. If they are in my bedroom, and have a smushed triangle head, time for dirty harry .
