When do you start wearing them?

When do you stop?

I have always just worn them until the first freeze. Don’t really see anything after October.

Additionally in NC we only have
Rattlesnakes (never seent one)
Copperheads
Coral
Moc

We have water moccasins where we have property. We always have ours to wear no matter what.

I have some Irish Settlers what I wear, and carry a sidearm with snake shot

Hunted in my Lacrosse all year, it was warm enough and the lease stayed flooded so I was concerned about cottonmouths. They're hot as hell when its warm out, they were warm with a couple pair of socks when I needed em to be.

That's all anyone in north america has, although there are various species and subspecies of the snakes you listed.

As far as snake boots, I hate wearing mine. They're hot, stiff, and bulky. I'd never even owned a pair, but for some reason my dad decided to buy me some a couple of turkey seasons ago. I think he worries about snakes.

I wear mine year round.

On the tractor - off the tractor - walking the fence line, makes no difference - I'm outside - they're on my feet.

It's not a fashion thing.

I don't think you are supposed to wear them after labor day..

Seriously though, I cottonmouths in South MS even during the winter.

I wear them all year round. I've seen them active too many times when I figured they wouldn't be and I'm often distracted jumping off of a SXS or tractor...

Can anyone recommend a comfortable, all-season or warm weather snake boot?

I don’t wear snake boots because I’m not a pussy, quite frankly.

Have both Danner sizes and they are great. My Mucks dry rotted and I duck hunted in my tall Danners. I wear the 10” a few days a week. These are 17” and very comfortable.

Where I fish mostly on a local river, there's the occasional cottonmouth, but many more copperheads, and pygmy rattlers are fricking everywhere. I start fishing my spots down there in March each year, and stop fishing there usually in September. I will not go there period without my snake boots.

From late May through mid August we fish down there mostly by lantern light. And the place is as wild as it gets in Oklahoma. Being out there without good snake boots or chaps during the warm months is folly.

Irish Setter 17" VaprTrek 1873D. Very, very comfortable. A little pricey but well worth the money.

Oh, well if that's all North Carolina has then no need to worry. Just the most venomous snakes in America. That's all.
