Sig seems to be really pushing their pistols lately via ex-Spec Ops YT channels

I'm sure this has been going on forever, and it has been a staple in the camera and fishing world for years, but it seems Sig is making a big push for their pistols (especially the P320 lineup) lately by not so publicly buying paying guys to push their products.
All of the sudden, it seems like quite a few high level ex special operations guys who now have media channels are all "switching to Sig" on whim, after most of these same guys for a decade have basically said how they only carried Glocks in combat because no one ever saw one fail.
Prime example of what I'm talking about right here: LINK
In the old days when Bill Dance always pushed a certain bait, he was obviously just shilling for certain brands. It was plain as day. Now, it seems like the goal is to have guys push certain gun brands, while not so blatantly discussing that they are being paid to do so.

Someone I know just bought a hellcat. I think they are suppose to be the direct competitor to the sig

I bought a Hellcat and loved it so much I bought a second one.

Pretty effective means of advertising if you ask me.

I think it's a case of spec ops wanting to shill what teams are using now.

Jack Carr's books are basically Sig advertisements (and I like Jack)

Sig really wants to be a lifestyle brand like northface, yeti etc. Their whole "legion" thing got it into high gear. They want to be THE brand for wannabe operators the world over.

Switching to SIG
In his defense, Fieldcraft Survival did this about a year ago with the 320X Carry. He has been heading this way for a while so this isn’t surprising.
I have Sig, Glock, Smith, Ruger, etc. and in my opinion, Glock hasn’t really innovated anything for quite some time. Fantastic weapons and we’ve all seen the torture tests but it is still basically the same Glock it was 30 years ago.
The 320 with the fire control module makes a lot of sense and appeals to many. Lots of versatility and modifications.
Whichever weapon works best for the individual is the one they should have. If they can afford it.

That's the good news; there's no shortage of good, reliable handguns. People too young to have been interested in handguns in the 80s-90s don't remember when there were legit reasons for "my handgun is better than your handgun" debates. Reliability wasn't a given. Now we have so many options that will reliably go bang you can shop around for what fits your hand, trigger feel, etc.

If my local gun store could get a Wilson Combat WCP320, it would be coming home with me.

Sig P320 X5 Legion with Lepould Delta Point Pro is my go to pistol. I just purchased a Sig 220-1 made in 1986 in 45acp. It is from Sigs custom gunsmith bench. Own a few other Sigs but the 320 Legion X5 is awesome. Also bought a Sig P210 target model that is awesome. I own 14 Glocks and none compare. The Sig 365 XL did not impress me.
The Hellcat in my opinion is a good truck gun. Horrible trigger and too snappy when fired.

Sigs are nice guns. I haven’t experienced the 320 yet. Currently own 226 tacops, M11-A1, 938, 239 (all 9mm) & 220 in 45 acp. All guns are amazing & it would be difficult to say what I like most

i am still perplexed on why sig made airsoft guns.
weird re-rout of branding from a premium gun manufacturer.
whatever makes money though.

I was a glock fanboy for a long time. Still am. But I broke down and got the x5 legion and it is incredible for a polymer gun. The trigger is great out the box, but I went with the Keres trigger and it makes it a lot smoother with almost no reset. The slide is the smoothest racking slide I have ever seen on a plastic gun.

Mostly training purposes. You can shoot anywhere you want with an airsoft gun and still have the feel of a real sig.

I don’t understand Springfield and their bore axis height.

I bought an XDM when they first came out and liked it. I think I still have it in the safe. The Hellcat and the XDS are just no fun to shoot. Great protection gun but not good to shoot hundreds of rounds thru at the range. Not bad guns INHO just uncomfortable.
