All of my rifles are on one piece mounts. Less chance for movements.

+ 1 for Talley. Love em.

Might need to buy one size lower than you expect, they run slightly high.

How much are you wanting to spend?

I have several pairs of Burris Extreme. They're around $65.

I have a pair of Vortex Precision on a bolt action Build that I wanted rock solid. They're $150.

DNZ are great but upwards of $200.

If you want the absolute best, you have to consider Spuhr but they start around $250

Yeah, I'm not needing anything too crazy I don't think. Just an old hunting rifle that I had some work done to, and finally got a decent scope. Gun came with a cheap Simmons 3x9 with Simmons rings. Going back with a Meopta so I figured some decent rings wouldn't hurt.

do you have a picatinny rail on the gun or will you need rings that fit a particular gun?

And what size tube?

I use ARMS throw lever rings on most of my ARs and my SCAR. Warne on my hunting rifles.

Although DNZ rings/mount are popular, personally I've not had good results w/ that type of ring. Depending on the scope and the distance between the ocular, turrets and power ring, it can be difficult having enough room on the scope to attach the rings.

For the past 20 years or so all my scopes have been mounted w/ a one piece Weaver base and 2 or 3 Burris Signature Z Weaver style rings (the ones w/ the plastic inserts). On rifles I only use 2 rings. I shoot some heavy recoiling handguns (including 308 Win, 284 Win, 7-08 Rem et al) and my scopes don't move anymore. I'd also suggest using a torque wrench. I've got this one.

Vortex Precision rings are manufactured for them by Seekins and just rebranded with Vortex logos.

Which Meopta did you go with? I just ordered the Optika6 3-18x50 from CameraLand, call in and they will give you 10% off.
