I’m looking for a small compact pistol to pocket carry. What’s y’all’s opinion on this pistol?

I know the saying “you get what you pay for” but I was wondering what the OB thinks? Thanks

I’d shy away from a .380 except as a backup. You can get a small 9 or .38 in hammerless air weight revolver that is a much better caliber.

Worst trigger made. Impossible to shoot even semi-accurate

Thr Ruger EC9S isn't that much more expensive or bigger and is in 9mm.

Have an LC9. Never had any issues with it, but it isn't my top carry weapon that I own.

Bought this one about 8 yrs ago.

I personally carry it every day.

No it’s not a 9mm.

But the size and weight of it is amazing.

9.5 oz.

That’s the best pocket carry I can think of.

The .380 you’ll carry is better than the 9mm you won’t.

I keep one in my pocket.

.380 is a great pocket gun. Bought S&W Bodyguard a year ago.

I live in Florida and frequently pocket carry, and I've never seen a reason to upgrade from the original LCP. Even if I wanted to there are few choices that are that small & let me pocket carry in regular jeans & pants.

S&W bodyguard 2.0. I carry a 43x 90% of the time, but when I can’t, I love my Smith.

I have one. It's handy to put in your pocket but it's the most inaccurate pistol I've got. I still carry it because if I have to use it, it will probably be within 10 feet. If I'm not in fear for my life I'm not shooting another person.

It's a great value. It's a great company. I would still get a Bodyguard, if I was buying a .380.

I work in and out of plants everyday, so I can't habitually carry or even have one in my truck. I probably have 6 different carry pistols from Sig .380 to P365 to Hellcats. When I do remember to carry outside of work, it is my original LCP 100% of the time. Get you a case that squares it off in your pocket. It's just too light and convenient. And like someone else said, the 380 in your pocket is better than the 9mm you arent carrying.

It's almost a half inch longer. I know a lot of people pocket carry them and I probably would were it not for that difference, all the rest of my handguns are Smiths.

Below is a 5 yd 10 rd mag dump sub 4 secs with LCP Max. Im no hickok45 and I shoot maybe 3-4 times a year. You arent getting in a gun fight with it but its something in gym shorts as a “get off me” gun. Also the right ammo does get you 12” gel ballistic penetration.

Decent pistol for the 10ft range. It's not going to be a 3 lb trigger, and that's a good safety measure. It's like having a double action revolver trigger on a semi-auto pistol.

"Blondie" has one, easy for her to carry, and to shoot. She's pretty good with it, I certainly don't want her shooting at me...

IMO....

Due to its diminutive size and the heavier trigger pull I personally find it difficult to shoot (as in accuracy). Also, I would ad the size and weight of it lends itself to more recoil than any of the 9's I carry adding another layer of difficulty in accuracy...

I have one I'll give you!
It is not very user friendly. Mine jams regularly and is too small to hold on to affectively. It would do in a pinch, but it would have to be a backup.

If you are comfortable with it then get it.

I only own one .380 a Glock 25. I do not shoot it much. I personally prefer a 38 Super or a 9mm for carry. If I am dressing up I will carry a commander 1911 in 45acp.

I bought my daughter an LCP 380 in muddy girl pink camo and she keeps it on her or with her. It is a decent get off me gun.

Better than not having one.
