I have lacrosse alphas. Comfortable and just neoprene and rubber uppers so self insulating. I’ve worn in hot weather and not had an issue with my feet sweating.

Cheaper than anti-venom regimen. Just sayin

Oh no doubt. I'll get some eventually. Are Lacrosse's snake proof ones as good as their regular ones, or is there a certain "brand" everyone typically gets? It would make walking around in La anytime from late Feb - December feel better.

I don’t have the lacrosse rubber snake boots but have tried them on and they are stiffer than the traditional granges and don’t lock on your heel like they do.
I have been wearing a pair of lacrosse tall grass snake boots I think is the name for 6-7 years now for sure. They are square toe styled leather/courdra boots and I wear them until it’s cold enough to need insulation then I go to a pair of lacrosse Burlys that are at least 15 yrs old. I place rolled up towels in my burlys and lacrosse hip boots after the season is over. By keeping them from creasing over and out of the sun I have had good luck with them not cracking ( my hip boots are over ten yrs old as well)

Good info. I always try to take care of waders like that and hang them up. Eventually I'll get one of those humidifier things for them. But I will look into the snake proof ones at some point. I need to get some lighter waders, as mine must be like made for Canadian hunting or something they're so thick and hunting this recent hot weather with them was pretty bad.

I've had them all. LaCrosse, Muck, Magellen, you name it.

Irish setter is the only way to go for comfort and durability. I'll never go back to the others. Hands down the best and I'm not even sure who's pulling up close enough to make an argument for second place.

I don't think you can get by with just one pair of boots.

LaCrosse greenies for hot weather in sloppy conditions.

Muck woody max for cold sloppy. Very comfortable.

Muck ankles for mid season hard ground.. Very very comfortable

I have used Muck boots for years because I can get them on and off easier than any others I have used. 95% of everyone ins Alaska uses Xtratuf boots here in Alaska.
