Saw that. I used both somewhat regularly. Hope I can use both again someday but right now it looks bad in all of Leeville. This hurricane season can go right to hell along with the whole year of 2020.

Seems like that area got hit worse than grand isle. I didnt see flooding like that on any grand isle reports.

Looks like Leeville Seafood is partially in the bayou...and a building from Boudreaux's is now in the parking lot of Griffin's.

The eye seemed to come right up through Terrebonne/Timbalier Bay and Lake Raccourci. This storm hit Leeville from the worst possible angle, I think. I'm curious if there is anything left of Casse Tete.

casse tete is more than likely okay...its east tim and philo that were shrinking. east tim had a cut in it after one storm on the west side. only a matter of time before its gone. im curious to see what it looks like out there after this.

leeville is destroyed according to capt dan who rode the storm out. said its bad

Problem is that water comes screaming dow east/west canal from behind grand isle. Then hurricane coming from the other side. Water comes together under leevile bridge and has no where to go

A lot of these coastal areas are either going to be rebuilt back hell of a lot stronger or will simply cease to be populated by permanent structures.

As someone who has fished Casse Tete for 25 years, I can tell you with certainty that it's been shrinking, too. It just started out more substantial that Philo Brice, so it doesn't seem too dramatic, but the entire area around the western pass is gone. I've seen way too many of those islands disappear. I'm not even 40, and I can remember birds congregating on Northwest Island, which is nothing more than a reef now.

They will definitely protect and fortify Port Fourchon, so that will help.

I agree on that, didn’t mean it wasn’t shrinking, just the others around it are at a faster rate. I fished brush about 5 years ago then a few months later it was gone. I fish that area regularly, the rate east Tim is shrinking is bad. Philo had a cut in it a few years ago and it’s going away badly. Calumet seems to be doing okay but the west end is shrinking as well. It’s sad altogether and I’m sure this storm did a number on them. Crazy thing is most of these islands will be gone in the next few years. The east side of the state has the same issues, Freemason has a cut in it on the west side from a storm this year and curlew was pretty much gone.

Yea I’m concerned a class mate of mine lost his bow fishing lodge in Leeville. He’s in OK at his lease but I’m sure someone sent him images. Just haven’t seen anything posted yet.

I hate to see that for some of those businesses but it might be a blessing cause as soon as that bridge is finished they were gonna be struggling anyway
