I don't think he needs a 500 or larger. Hit me with your best shot.

ETA: but needs to tote me and him on occasion.

Rancher 420. All day.

Not too big, not to small. He can grow with it.

More than enough power to haul 2 people.

If yours breaks, it'll make a good backup.

My 12 yr old has a Honda Recon 250. It's a great little machine. We both ride it on occasion around the house and it does fine.

At that age, just need to know how big he is. Some are 5ft tall. Some are 6ft.

If he can't pick up the arse end, he doesn't need to be on it.

Can't go wrong with a manual Honda rancher. They last a long time with very little maintenance.

just get him an old kawasaki bayou

those things can do it all and if he gets stuck he can easily move it on his own.

Honda Recon is all he needs as an 11 year old. I bought my son one 2 years ago and it's perfect for what he needs and we both can ride it to and from the stand with a deer on the back.

Got my son a bayou 250 years ago when he was 9, thing was indestructable. Still running strong 12 years later.

Ill never forget the night I was like 7 years old and my mom had no clue where my dad was.

Dude pulls up at like 8pm in the pouring rain, I step outside and said "whose 4 wheeler is that?", he said "ours". I probably achieved the trifecta of crying, pissing and shitting myself simultaneously.

We put that Bayou 220 through hell and back.

Sounds like the day I hit a ditch hauling arse through the cane field on my old 250r.

bayou 250 is a good little 2wd. but something to grow into would definitely consider a 420 rancher.
