Screw carpet tack strips to your feeder legs, they won't be crawling up them anymore. Much cleaner solution than greasing the legs.

Never once have they eaten soybeans in my place in 10 years in south Louisiana. 5 cameras running for months at a time. Feed upwards of 4 tons a season. Ran out of soybeans a few times and tried to sneak in corn and had multiple coons in pics on the first night.

How to get rid of them without shooting them? They are around the deer camp and our feeders. Any tips?
Dog-proof traps work great. I use a brand called z-trap because the tiggers can be tripped by pulling and pushing. Some wet cat food and mini marshmallows are all you need. If you end up using legit coon bait from a trapping supply store, be real careful and wear gloves to not get that shite on you.
Also helpful is a suppressed 22 with a thermal scope. If you’re in Louisiana, the idiots in congress made the law such that you can hunt coons at night, but if you use artificial light, you must have a dog with you. A thermal scope doesn’t use artificial light.
Before you know it, you will be able to supply an army of moonshiners with Alabama toothpicks.

Must be a different breed of coon. In Madison Parish they like soybeans as much as corn and that’s a fact!

Dog proof traps and cat food. Get a 2x4 or aluminum bat if you don’t want to shoot them.

That’s fine, but they can update the laws. There’s a process for that.
You can now hunt hogs at night year round with q-beams, night vision w infrared lights, and with thermals. With deer caliber rifles.

Anyone ever see "Coon on a Log?"
They do damage to a dog.
Coon on a log!

I’ve caught a bunch last few years with Dog proof traps. For some reason I’ve gotten very few pictures of coons this year.
I hear they get distemper so maybe there was an outbreak of it this year.
Fine by me,I hate having to deal with the traps and shooting them.

Do you guys set the dog proof traps close to the feeders, and if so, how much does it screw with the deer coming to that feeder?
Ordering some carpet tacks for the legs, and plan to run the traps next time I’ll be out there for more than a couple of days. Don’t want to leave them hung up for weeks, I’m not that bad.
