fly bait

Be careful with that stuff. It kills them dead within sight of the bait but it also kills the buzzards that eat them. If you have any dogs around or hunt with any dogs that can get to them they will have the same fate. Unfortunately I've seen it.

1. Make a big giant corn pile about 25 yards from your feeder.
2. Put about a 20 pound bucket of tannerite in the corn pile.
3. ??????????
4. Profit

Pinned one to the ground with my bow using a field point just as my wife was pulling into the driveway.

It was at that moment she realized who she married.

I’ve used several methods but the most effective and safest I’ve found is dog proof traps. I use corn with some cheap jelly on top and they can’t resist it. I set 2 traps with a common stake last week by my barn cats food and caught a coon with a hand in both traps. A dozen is right under $200 and they last forever.

If you're running broadcast feeders then you're fighting a losing battle. I converted to gravity feeders. Coons can't hang onto the spout. They only get the few grains that deer or squirrels knock out onto the ground. I am buying a lot less feed now after going with gravity feeders.
