What if you buy a Louisiana Life Time License as a resident but then move to say Texas ?

So you would have a Texas Driver's License and a Louisiana Hunting License.

It will pay for itself even faster.

Doesn't matter if you move.

I got stopped by green jeans in the mid 90's with a lifetime license and Texas driver's license. It was a young warden and the first time he ran into that situation. He was going to write me a ticket but called a superior officer and they got it straightened out.

I was pretty shocked the gw didn't know the law. Hell, that's the only reason I bought it was to switch my residency back to Texas so I could hunt in both states.

Doesn't matter. I have lifetime in Louisiana and Mississippi. So when hunting the river I can hunt one when the other is closed. Legal between the levees

I saw Green Jeans at a football game tonight and asked him, he said once you buy the license you are good to go.

Said he knew a military guy who had 27 lifetime license in different states.

If I'm not mistaken you have to be a resident for a set amount of time before you can buy a lifetime. But once you got it, you got it for life no mater where u move. So anyone about to move should buy there lifetime before they move or they will be paying out of state fees when they come back home to hunt

And buy your kids a life time license when they are young. It's an even better bargain.

A lifetime hunting and fishing combo is only $200 if you buy before they are 5 years old. Between 5 & 13 hunting license OR fishing license is 200 and the combo is $300.

LINK

Not only is it a good value, it opens up more opportunities for hunting. Since I got my lifetime license, I hunt more because you don't have to worry about getting extra license for WMA access, or going bow or muzzle loader hunting. Hell its already paid for.

No more last minute runs to Walmart to get a license and spending another 50 bucks on crap I really didn't need either. I'm a big fan of LT licenses.

This is why I did it, we have a (little) family land I hunt and damned if I was going to pay out of state fees to hunt my own property.
