Got the hedge trimmer. Going to test it at the deer lease. We shall see.

I have that trimmer. It's great.

Now I have a gas powered Echo that I need to sell.

Not at all. I am surprised at the run time. I do keep an extra battery but seldom switch.

Not impressed. My wife bought an Expand It set because she doesn't like cranking my Stihl Kombi tools. Electric motor doesn't have 20 hrs on it and it's deader than Kelso's nuts.

Yup - battery mgmt 101 - keep it between 30%-70% state of charge as much as possible; the pack is dieing outside of that range.
Out of 3 40v batts I had 1 defective. Everything else is amazing about the new tech. Stihl blower, poulin pole saw for sale. Gas weedeater for me and electric for wife works out well.

Which model electric did you purchase for your wife? The Ryobi?

Yes, my hedger is maybe 30 minutes use. Tire pump maybe 4 uses and it’s dead.

Don't run them too low on charge when using them. Switch to another battery once you get down to two bars on the indicator lights. If you run them till your edger, etc. stops working, the battery is at much greater risk of crapping out. Some tools run the battery down much quicker than others. My Ryobi hedge trimmer seems to last a lot longer on a battery than my Ryobi edger. The versatility is what makes Ryobi so nice, you can use the same batteries for LED lantern (great for power outages), radio, edger, hedge trimmer, drill, blower, oscillating saw, circular saw, hand held vacuum, etc.
