I voted:

Disagree with the reduction to 3
Disagree with the slot increase from 16” to 18”
Agree with no harvest over 24”
Agree with removing guide limits

Why? I truly don’t understand going from 27 to 24”….and the complete prohibition on taking them.

I’ll be upfront and say that I throw anything that size back anyway (as do most I assume), but I have concerns that not taking any would lead to an overpopulation of fish that size.

There are days we catch dozens of fish 14 3/4 inches one after another

I never catch any between 24-27 anyways. They’re either below 24 or huge bulls.

more breeding stock. I think the 24" was aimed at making it more difficult for bowfisherman 8inch slot makes it much tougher.

Because science shows redfish start spawning at 26" They are attempting to keep all spawning fish in the water to do their job.

That's the point. THose are the breeding stock.

Honestly, I don't hate an increase to 18" or the decrease in creel.

I understand that, but at some point if there are too many won’t it cause other unintended issues?

How would this be defined and do you honestly think it's even possible?

Why wouldn’t it be? You have a set of the population that isn’t removed through artificial means (other than pogey boats), when that becomes too large wouldn't they start competing with the smaller fish for finite forage?

Like I said, I personally I don’t keep anything that big anyway, just trying to understand if this will have any unintended consequences.

That’s wild how that ends up happening. In my mind that’s a good thing because it shows you have a big population of fish who have certainly spawned 1 time and some up to 2 times
