My girl (3) caught her first lizard by herself the other day at my parents house and brought it in to show everyone. When they called to tell me it almost brought tears of joy. Proudest moment besides her fish fish
Cant wait for her first kill.

That si not even her personal best anymore. She dropped one with my .243 that has a lot more mass and a wider beam.

ETA: what part of IA? I have a good customer in east IA that has a big farm. She said I could come hunt it anytime.

I actually live in Houston now. She still lives in North Central Missouri, her dad has access to a bunch of land.

If you are talking southeast or north east Iowa go - they have some real nice deer in those areas. East central Iowa is pretty urban (relatively) and does not have the same numbers.

Some really great pics in this thread. I always seem to forget to take pictures when I have the kids outdoors. I think we might have some on the computer at home. Heres one of my oldest from a few years ago with my dad and the otter they trapped.
