OK new to Pistol Red Dots. Thinking about jumping in and putting one on a Full Size M&P 2.0 Performance Center or a Canik Rival TPNSFX. Would like to stay around 300.00. Share your vast knowledge of the outdoor board. Also a MOA recommendation. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I have a Vortex on my Canik and it works well. I also have a Fastfire iii that has not given me problems

Something with a closed emmiter. You can get the Steiner for 379. It’s worth saving your money and getting a good sight.

In my very limited experience; it seems the Trijicon SRO and Holosun 507c are the two most highly regarded. I shot both, and went with the Holosun. I couldn’t justify the $200 price difference. I am still not sure on reticle; I went with the circle; not sure if that was the right answer or not.

I have a Trijicon RMR on my Glock 34.

It takes some getting used to but once you do, it's fast.

I have been impressed with everything I have seen from Swamfox optics. They have a few RMR options, and I might order a Liberty from them for a Glock 17MOS I just picked up.

Best there is bar none. Worth the extra $$$. If you have a stigmatism it’s great because of the LED refresh rate. It won’t starburst.

Holosun 507k for micro & 507c for full size. Work perfect for me.

I just put a Vortex Venom on a cheaper handgun. It works well enough. I have a Leupold Delta Point Pro on a more expensive gun. The Leuopold is better but the Vortex is perfectly fine.

FYI the vortex was/is on sale at Palmetto state - it is usually around $250 but I believe it is like 160 with promo code "venom" I couldn't justify another Deltapoint vs $160 for a Masada that cost $400. Only had it a week but no problems so far.

Edit to add - I was going to try a Holosun but the Masada comes with 3 plates - none of which are holuson and it wasn't worth buying a 3rd party after market plate for a $400 pistol.

Just as an FYI, the mounting footprint for the Holosun 407c and 507c is the same as the Trijicon RMR and SRO. They all use the same plate.

Holosun is hard to beat. I have a few versions. I have the 507c with the Vulcan reticle, 507k, and the 509t green. They are all great. But the SRO is very nice if you aren't rough on your guns because it's easier to break that the rmr or holosun.

Do not skimp on money for optics unless you have a 22LR.

Vortex Venom is in your price range.

I prefer the Leupold Delta Point Pro but it is double the price.

Echoing others with the Holosun 507c. I've got it on my xDM and really enjoy it

They aren't a VETBRO company, don't put that stink on them. They may have vets on staff but they don't market themselves as better because they have some vets like so many inferior companies do.

As a vet myself I appreciate this. Frickin tied of folks advertising as vet owned.

Sorry to hijack, but same question except for a SBR. I'm leaning toward the Vortex Strikefire but open to suggestions.
